Trabant in German means “satellite” and it’s the name of a famous car produced in East Germany in the Fifties. And that’s not all, because Trabant are also an Italian indie band with a sound you can’t resist to: their music is made for dancing… an enticing mix of electro pop, new wave, techno and post punk slivers.

With a new power trio line-up, Trabant (who have been around for a few years now) are  experimenting with a new sound, an evolution of their indie roots now incorporating more and more dance/techno influences. The three musicians are now messing up with Funkadelic, Kraftwerk, Daft Punk, the seventies, the Eighties and – of course – 2012.
