The R’s were previosuly known as The Record’s, but they had to change their name in 2011 after an English group with the same moniker took legal action.

The band was born in 2002; five years after they released an ep called Joyful Celebration and in 2008 they put out a full lenght album titled Money Is On Fire. From the start they raised the attention of fans and critics with a fresh, international sound characterized by a pop vein inspired by The Beatles and The Beach Boys as well, but very personal.

In 2010 they released the album De Fauna et Flora, via Foolica Records; they also played in Austin at the super-hip SXSW Festival, entering the Top 20 of FMBQ Radio.

In Juanuary 2012 they reissued their De Fauna et Flora album under their new moniker. Below you can listen to the single from the album, “Call Of The Ice”.
