At the end of the Nineties there was Masoko Tanga, an indie band from Rome which released a bunch of self produced EPs. Fast forward to 2002: Masoko Tanga simply becomes Masoko, the EP Notanga comes out and the band gets some good attention from fans and critics, playing live with big names as Babyshambles and Kaiser Chiefs.

Masoko are in love with the purest indie sounds, with touches of Italian new wave, a nice pop sensibility and a heavy dose of irony.

They published another EP in 2008 (simply titled M) and a whole album called Masokismo, produced by Giorgio Canali. Below you can find their song “Savoir Faire”, a track showcasing their melodies, energy and ironic outlook.
