Pete Doherty is a well known troubled troublemaker, but also a music genius in his league. Pete’s latest crazy idea is experimenting with hip-hop.

According to the British tabloid The Sun, Doherty asked The Streets‘ Mike Skinner to help him write some new material. The Sun also reported: “He has actually said he wants to be Britain’s answer to Eminem. He has told us he’s started writing hip hop songs“. But it’s not all… the report also says that Doherty has been buying new clothes to “re-invent” himself as a rap artist. Doherty should play the his hip-hop songs at his up-coming European shows.

In the meanwhile Pete announced he is trying to stop using hard drugs and he recently had a second child.
