DOOM – alias MF DOOM, King Geedorah, Zev Love X, and Victor Vaughn – is one of the most mysterious and reclusive rappers in the scene. He has quickly become the rapper’s rapper, earning fans as diverse as the New York Times, Mos Def and Thom Yorke. His collaborations with Madlib, Danger Mouse, and Ghostface Killah among others have generated some of the most creative albums in recent hip hop history.
On the other hand, DOOM rarely does interviews, he’s always wearing a mask similar to that of Marvel Comics super-villain Doctor Doom – and he doesn’t allow pictures to be taken if he’s not masked.
His presence at Madrid’s Red Bull Red Bull Music Academy was an extraordinary event – even more extraordinary since the rapper agreed to give a 100 minutes lecture (also featuring questions from the audience).
