The Chemical Brothers live are a real mindblowing experience. So it’s perfectly natural they decided to release a movie to portray their powerful and enticing stage show.
Directed by the band’s longtime visual collaborator Adam Smith, the filmĀ Don’t Think captures the Chems’ performance atĀ Japan’s Fujirock Festival in July 2011. The movie will debut on February, 3 in the UK; on February, 1 in the rest of the world – even if a few advance screenings will take place on January 26.
The main concept behind Don’t Think is to portray the experience of the band’s live show from a fan perspective. It was assembled using 20 cameras dispersed throughout the crowd and stage; this footage is mixed with the psychedelic live visuals for which the band and Smith have become known.
